BALEARIC ISLANDS

Famous throughout the world for their climate, scenery and beaches is a beautiful Spanish enclave set in the Mediterranean Sea - Baleraric Islands.

These islands offer fine sandy beaches, an ever-present sunshine, and a wild nightlife famous all over the world. Yet each of the four main islands has a charm unique in its own. Majorca, boasts of a magnificent coastline consisting of rocky outcrops intermingled with many small coves that offer excellent sandy beaches. Menorca, on the other hand, offers serene tranquillity, while Ibiza possesses an inspiring personality. Formentera and Cabrera are extremely solitary.

In the past, the Balearics have been invaded by the Romans, the Vandals, the Byzantines, the Arabs, and the Aragonese, leaving behind cultural gems beyond the bars and the beaches: Gothic cathedrals, Stone Age ruins, fishing villages, bushwalks, olive and almond groves, and orange orchards.

Up until now, the Balearic Islands maintain a rich and flourishing tradition in local crafts. Embroidery, carvings in olive wood, wrought-iron works, cut glass, objects made from palm leaves and raffia, cultivated pearls, pottery, handmade shoes, and exquisite jewellery are just some of the things that never fails to catch the eye of a curious onlooker.

These islands are the ideal location for resting and relaxing. With its beautiful scenery, captivating forests, fertile farmlands, golden beaches with crystal-clear waters - what more can you ask for when everything is within you grasp.
