COSTA CALIDA
Located between the regions of Andalusia, Valencia, and Castille La Mancha, Costa Calida can be found on the outskirts of the provinces of Almeria, Albacete, Granada, and the Mediterranean.Costa Calida is proud to have the sun shining on most days with an average temperature of 17 degrees. A famous stretch of the Murcian coastline and extending more than 200 kilometres from the Carolina beach in Aguilas, Costa Calida is only a few kilometres from the province of Almeria.
There are a great number of popular tourist destinations in Costa Calida. In Mazarrón, there are excellent fishing auctions and fishing ports as well as golden and sandy beaches. Definitely must-see are the Plaza España, where lovely garden areas can be found, the town hall, and the church of San Jose. The 19th century lighthouse and beaches in Cabo de Palos is also a famous tourist spot aside from the historic Velez Castle, world-class hotels, and exciting nightlife Costa Calida offers.
In Costa Calida, the world-renowned Mar Menor is perfect for many water sports and activities. Regarded as the 'world's largest pool', Mar Menor is situated in Murcia. Costa Calida is also known for the many archaeological treasures that can be found in Cartagena and it boasts of the many world-class hotels, beaches, casinos and golf courses that are excellent for many locals and tourists.
