The town of Balsicas is a typical Spanish village located only 15 minutes away from the San Javier airport, Murcia, and Mar Menor in Spain. Its name originated from rafts constructed centuries ago which was once an important mode of transportation in the country.
The Balsicas town was divided into two in 1983 brought about by a territorial division. This significant division resulted to further misfortune and prompted the people to reclaim their own town’s independence. However, the city council of Pacheco turned down their plea and instead, constructed an artificial border between the two parts of the town. This initiative in turn, made the Balsicas to belong to two different city councils.
Most expats and outsiders will find that investing in a property in Balsicas is an excellent opportunity because current introductory prices are incredible but will greatly increase in the future as the town is undergoing major developments. Nearby Balsicas is a new development of Grupo Masa called the Residencial Sierra Golf. One of the finest golf course developments in Spain, the Sierra Golf will have its own 18-hole golf course. Other recreational amenities include the usual clubhouse and hotel as well as a commercial shopping centre. Ideal for locals and tourists who simply want to enjoy recreation and world-class golfing experience, the town of Balsicas is one exciting place to visit while in the beautiful country of Spain.
