MURCIA
Murcia boasts of a rich history, agriculture, and commerce. Located 75 kilometres of Alicante and 30 kilometres west of Torrevieja in the outskirts of Cresta de Gallo and the Sierra de Orihuela mountains, the city of Murcia is accessible via the E15 (national road) from Alicante or via C415 from Madrid. Population in Murcia has already reached up to 300,000 and being the capital of the province, Murcia now has its own university.
Murcia features major points of interest like the spectacular landscapes and water sports activities that can be enjoyed by most locals and tourists. The area is more popular for its many excellent beaches and a grand view of the Mediterranean coast. Other famous travel spots are the castle of Monteagudo as well as the Baroque style Almudi Palace, Musuem Ramon Gaya, Casa Palarea in Catalina Square, Palacia Episcopal, and the Malecon Garden.
