TURRE
Famous for its beautiful mountain range amidst a fertile land, is the scenic village of Turre. Peaceful walks around this municipality in the mountains of Sierra Cabrera are a most relaxing way to experience the best of Turre.Among the most interesting travel destinations in this town are the 19th century Parish Church de la Purisima Concepcion and the Hermitage of San Francisco that was built in 1500s. The annual fiestas and flamenco competitions in Turre are not to be missed. There are several important festivals that are celebrated in this town. One of the most exciting ones is during Christmas, where the local residents publicly bet in a game called Boliche. It is somewhat like ground billiards and is popularly enjoyed because of its uniqueness of only six balls and one hall.
