BENALMADENA
Benalmadena links the traditional coastal resorts of Fuengirola and Torremolinos. It is one of the newer resort areas in Spain but is currently one of the most popular. The area is accessible as it is only a short drive from the Malaga airport.The town of Benalmadena features a scenic mountain village with fabulous sea views called the Benalmadena Pueblo. Benalmadena is also popular for its many excellent beaches that tourists and locals regularly visit. The tourist area also features a variety of bars and restaurants offering the best in Spanish and international cuisine. There are good quality hotels, such as the Torrequebrada Hotel & Casino, a local 18 hole golf course of Torrequebrada, a theme park, and a sea life centre that have already become popular tourist destinations in Benalmadena.
With an estimated population of 30,000, Benalmadena almost covers an area of 30Km². It has a spectacular view of the Mediterranean Sea making it one favorite destination of tourists especially the British. With a very pleasant and comfortable climate, Benalmadena is always booming with life most especially in summer where the influx of outsiders and tourists rapidly increase. It enjoys only a maximum of 35º during summer and a minimum of 5º during the cooler months.
