SAN PEDRO
Located between the beautiful town of Estepona and Puerto Banus, San Pedro is one busy Spanish coastal town. Currently, it is home to some of the most excellent restaurant and shops in Spain. San Pedro however, has ironically steered clear of a great number of tourists allowing the locals to have a more peaceful life in this area of Spain.Ideally situated 10 kilometres west of Marbella and only a few minutes drive away from the Sierra de Ronda mountain range, San Pedro was once famous for its sugar cane and presently has an active farming community. The town is unspoilt and has remarkably maintained its old splendour and charm.
Famous tourist destinations in San Pedro include the central plaza where the parish church, shops, narrow streets, bars, and cafes can be found as well as the Avenida del Marques del Duero. The Roman Baths called the Las Bovedas and the Paleochristian Balisilica Church, which is located by the sea and in the woods, are more popular to those interested in history. Shoppers and tourists will definitely enjoy shopping during Thursday because it is street market day. The town is all busy making it to the list of a bargain shopper's paradise.
