COSTA TROPICAL

Varied landscapes of a beautifully rugged coast, lush greenery of sugarcane fields, the gentle beckoning of the blue waters, these are just some of the welcome sights one will experience in Costa Tropical.

The Costa Tropical covers the coastline in the province of Granada and its called favoured climate is attributed by the protection of the Sierra Nevada mountain range that surrounds this region. This unspoilt paradise is haven to people who seek solace away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, yet avoiding huge tourist crowds. Found in this area are traditional seaside resorts like Solobreņa where you will be awed by the fusion of tropical and medieval atmosphere, as you pass along Moorish castles and the magnificent beach. Then further along you will see stretches of rocky coastlines with deserted coves sheltered by steep cliffs. All of these add to the excitement of taking a holiday in this region.

Another increasingly popular destination among tourists is the town Almunecar. Aside from its wonderful beaches it is also famous for the Loro Sexi Bird Park which will delight adults and children alike, with its multitude of bird species. Close by is the Parque del Majuelo, a pretty botanical garden containing Europe's largest collection of subtropical plant. This town also has some beautiful castles that will move one back to the glorious past.

Costa Tropical is indeed one of Spain's best kept secrets. Undoubtedly, the place to go where one can just bask in the golden glow of the tropical sun, while listening to the gentle caress of the sparkling ocean.
